Traditional clothes are still preferred by the locals because of their rich culture and it's their way to preserve their traditions. Listed here are the five tourist spots in Bhutan that you need to visit.
Also known as "Tiger's Nest Monastery" located 900 meters from the floor in the cliff side of the Paro valley in Bhutan. It is a sacred temple of the Himalayan Buddhist. The elegant temple structure dedicated to Padmasambhava is built around the cave in 1692 and it became the cultural icon of Bhutan. They celebrate "Tsechu", a festival in honor of Padmasambhava every March and April.
Located near the entry gate of Bhutan, in the town of Phuntsholing. It is a replica of Guru Reponche's celestial abode. It is a holy place to the locals and the Buddhists. Its architecture displays the typical Buddhist in a very calm and peaceful place to visit.
Composed of thirty temples, chapels and shrines. It is located on the Northeastern edge of Thimphu city in Bhutan. It has been the seat of the head of Bhutan's civil government named "Dharma Raja". It is the office that has been combined with kingship and monarchy that is created since 1907.
Located in the middle of the country, Trongsa's first temple was built on 1543. Its location has the road junction of Punakha, Gelephu, and Bumthang but it is separated from East and West by tall and massive mountain ranges. Its landscape offers the fine views of Black Mountains that makes this place so beautiful.
5. Drukgyel Dzong
A Buddhist monastery that is now in ruins. It is built by Tenzin Drukdra in 1649 to commemorate the successful defense and the victory over the invasion of Tibet. It is located at the upper part of Paro District. It is indeed an awesome place to visit because of the green environment that surrounds it.
